the lights will inspire you

Buying that $8 pack of vintage lights was one of the best decisions I've made this season.

I can't help but get excited and all The Season Is Here! when I see them.

And there's something else, too...
I'm feeling inspired to craft to create to make things. Big Time.

I'm wanting to make as many gifts as possible this year... which is kinda hard since all my crafty tools are in storage.
But I am determined to craft away, regardless.
Afterall, these lights have inspired me and I must respond with some rockin' creativity.

  1. Craft away my friend! I got that itch when summer turned to fall...I was a crafting and baking fiend. It's subsided (thankfully!) so now I can just chillax.

    Let's see whatcha got. ;)

  3. oh my goodness, I love them. you are making me so excited to get home and see my parent's Christmas tree decked out in these lights.

My mom called and said dad has gone a bit overboard (nearly national lampoon style) in preparation for Behr's first Christmas. He managed to use three rolls of ugly grey electric duck tape! Apparanlty it looks hideous and my mom and sister have been trying to get the duck tape out of the trees and replace it with something more discrete. Oh the joy!

  5. Where did you find those bulbs? I've been looking for them everywhere, but no one has them in that size, just the tiny ones. I grew up with light like that; they were passed down to my parents from my grandmother.

  6. I love those vintage lights to a fault. Can't wait to see some of your crafty creations. I was, after all, very impressed with your "homemade" wreath.

  7. Nessa- I'd love to hear his remix ;)

Vanessa- Target. Most specifically, the Target in Harlem. They won't be as awesome as true vintage ones, but they're a nice substitute. Good luck!

WhitMc- I can always count on you to be impressed with my crafts. Or Target's at least. :)
